After graduating with a Ph.D. from Texas Tech University (1993) and spending some time with his sponsoring congregation in Decatur, Dane returned to Ecuador and continued to serve as a missionary in Cuenca (1993-1997) with Louis and Dottie McBride and three other Ecuadorian families: Bolívar and Jenny Vásconez, Oswaldo and Lourdes Albarracín, and Jaime Cobos.
After his return to the United States in March 1997, Dane was named lecturer in Latin American Literature at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas and became the preaching minister at the Midway Church of Christ in Denton, Texas. In order to further prepare himself for a life of ministry he enrolled in the Spring of 2000 at Abilene Christian University, taking his Master of Arts in Religion degree in 2004.
After serving the Midway church for three years, Dane became the pulpit minister at the Leander Church of Christ at Crystal Falls in Leander, Texas and labored there from August 2000 to August 2013. He became the pulpit minister at the Fairmont Park Church of Christ in Midland, Texas in August 2013 and left in April 2015. At that point Dane earned his mediator and arbitrator certifications at Manousso Mediation Training & ADR Services in Houston, Texas. Since then, he has successfully mediated over 100 cases. As a result, Dane was a credentialed mediator by the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association until 2020. His business was called the Mediator Man.
In April 2017, Dane became the preaching minister at the Central Church of Christ in Del Rio, Texas and in 2018 he also became the Spiritual Care Director at Val Verde Regional Medical Center in Del Rio, Texas. Dane and Leslie moved to Tampa, Florida in January 2020 where Dane now serves as the pulpit minister and counselor at the Northwest Tampa Church of Christ. Furthermore, Dane is a certified doctoral diplomat in Christian Counseling by the International Association of Christian Counseling Professionals and is a certified temperament counselor by the National Christian Counseling Association. He sees clients at his office regularly. He is also a certified personal trainer (by the American Council on Exercise) and certified Fitness Nutrition Specialist (ACE) who incorporates exercise and nutrition into his counseling practice.

Missionary
Ecuador, Mexico, Bolivia, Honduras, and Cuba Dr. Boyles has been able to be a missionary to the Spanish-speaking world. From 2002 Dane has traveled yearly to Mexico, Cuba, Ecuador, and other Spanish-speaking countries to teach and preach the gospel. He founded (1994) and directed the Cuenca Theological Institute in Cuenca, Ecuador (1994-1997, 2002-2005). Since January 2006 he served the Institute as an academic and strategic advisor as the Lord developed leadership among the Ecuadorians to direct the Institute. His driving force in life is to preach the gospel. For this reason, he ministers and preaches full time, but he also travels regularly to teach and spread the Word of God in Spanish.

Husband, father, and grandfatherDane is a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Dane is married to Leslie Kay Boyles from Austin, Texas. Together they have journeyed all over, from Mexico to Colorado, with their children. They currently live in Tampa, Florida where they touch and inspire the lives of believers and non-believers each week through the ministry of Northwest Tampa Church of Christ and its various outreaches. They have five children, six grandchildren, and two French bulldogs named Princess and Pike.
